| Description | Title: Assistant Buyer Menswear Location: Central London Salary: Up to £27,000 plus bonus and benefits. This exciting new role has arisen within a leading young and fashionable menswear retailer based in central London and they are looking for an assistant buyer to join their team. This retailer has over 300 stores in the UK and more abroad. They are a ever directional and forward thinking retailer and always one step ahead of other retailers Some of the responsibilities include; •Critical Path management •Ensure standards and timescales are met for ordering and updating information •Liaising with suppliers on a regular basis •Assist the Buyer with range reviews analysis. •Analyse supplier performance •Monitor all amendments and styling requirements and ensure that all changes are communicated to the supplier. •Monitor costs and margins and deal with any price discrepancies. •Be actively involved in product with the in house design team •Oversee repeat orders and packaging. •Deputise for the Buyer in their absence Ideal candidates must have: •At least 2 years experience within a UK high street retailer as an assistant buyer •Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills •High commercial awareness and is very trend driven This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established trendy menswear retailer with plenty of progression opportunities.
